![]() She also attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, 1975-1977 and earned a (MREd) Master's of Religious Education degree. Pam attended Baylor University of Waco, Texas, earning a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) in 1975, Harare School of Midwifery 1984, and earned her CNM (Certified Nurse Midwife) degree in 1994 at the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing. She was commissioned to serve as a Nurse/Midwife and to reopen a Midwifery School at Sanyati Baptist Hospital in the bush country of Zimbabwe, Africa where she delivered over 5,000 babies from 1981-1986, Pam also attended two years of Language School learning, Shona. She was appointed by the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention June 1981. She encouraged and gave Pam and her five siblings plenty of opportunities to serve in the church and be involved in mission work.Īt 13 Pam felt called to be a Missionary (Nurse/Midwife). Pam’s mother was her greatest influence in her becoming a missionary. She is survived by five siblings: Charles Lee "Chuck" (and Lynette) King Cheri Gisele Grimes Melissa Kay King Jacqueline "Jacque" Jean King and Michele (and Gary) Richter. Pam was born in Giddings, Texas May 1, 1953, to Charles Carol King (1927-1967) and Shirley Jean Schnell King (1931-1987. Mrs Pamela “Pam” King Hester, 68, of Winston Salem, NC, passed away at Trellis Supportive Care of Winston Salem Thursday, December 16, 2021.
